Sweet Pizzas are a small dessert business run by Jonny Craft. The business was started in July 2014 after spotting a gap in the market for dessert pizzas with a difference. Sweet Pizzas premises have been awarded 5 stars for hygiene and Jonny has all food hygiene and preparation qualifications to allow him to bake and trade safely.
Since inception Sweet Pizzas have catered two huge beauty/lifestyle blogger events in London, a fashion event in Leeds, and sold out at two food festivals at the Belgrave Street Feast and Corn Exchange respectively. Sweet Pizzas have also stocked two local cafes to date and supply the Leeds University Union café on a weekly basis.
In December 2014 Sweet Pizzas were awarded a coveted SBS award from multi-millionaire Theo Paphitis of Dragons Den fame. In January Sweet Pizzas were shortlisted in the Start-up of the Year category in the Guardian.
What’s the difference between Sweet Pizzas and dessert pizzas?
Convention dictates that dessert pizzas are made from dough and served hot. Sweet Pizzas are totally different in the fact that the bases are either chocolate brownie or cookie dough, the sauce is butter cream and the toppings are a range of popular confectionary. They are also served cold.
